Agents tools.

Your AI tools can work with the agents your organisation has set up: list them and read how each is set up, talk to one in a conversation (and read earlier ones), hand one a piece of work, follow a run, and approve or decline what an agent proposes. With "Set up agents" ticked for the connection, they can also make agents and change the ones you manage, with their duties; connected apps are always chosen in Stable Baseline. An agent keeps to its own access and approvals whoever asks it, and never reaches further than the connection.

The live list

Your AI tool can call searchTools with category: "agents" for the current list of these tools with every input. This page is the readable copy.

The tools

Every tool below keeps to the access of the key or sign-in that calls it, and to the person’s own role. A tool only sees the tools it may use.

  • approveAgentAction

Approve or decline a change an agent proposed (a pending approval from askAgent, delegateToAgent or getAgentRun).

  • askAgent

Talk to an organisation agent: a message starts a conversation or continues one (`conversationId`), and the answer comes back with what the agent read; `stop: true` stops its working turn.

  • delegateToAgent

Hand an organisation agent a brief (a piece of work, big or small) and get its job back.

  • getAgentConversation

Read a conversation with an agent after a cursor (`afterTurn`): each turn's state (`thinking`, `waiting_for_approval`, `answered`, `paused`, `failed` or `stopped`), its answer, what it did and what waits for you; or list your earlier conversations.

  • getAgentRun

Follow an agent job: its status (`queued`, `running`, `awaiting_approval`, `paused`, `completed`, `failed` or `cancelled`), `progress` (steps done, tool calls, the current tool, the budget), the ap…

  • listAgents

List the organisation agents you may use, or read one agent's whole set-up by its id or name (`agentId`): what it is for, its tools and places, its approval level, who it is shared with and its duties.

  • setUpAgent

Make an agent, or change one you manage: its name, instructions, tools, places, sharing and status. Needs "Set up agents" on the connection; an agent set up this way always asks before any change, and one that reaches further than the connection keeps what it does.

  • setUpAgentDuty

Add or change an agent's duty (work it does on its own), check one without saving, or pause, resume, turn on or off one. Needs "Set up agents" on the connection; never connects an app, and a duty that uses one is only paused or turned off.
