An open canvas for sketching an architecture, mapping a process, running a workshop or building a deck. Draw by hand, drop in diagrams and pages, pull shapes from the library, or have AI design the board for you.
Create and find boards
Open Whiteboards in a project and press New whiteboard. Group boards into categories, and search them by name or by id (such as WBD-7). Boards belong to their project, so the people who can open the project can open its boards.

How many whiteboards you can keep depends on your plan. Where there is a limit, Usage at the top of a project's Whiteboards shows it and how much is used.

Hover a shape and drag from one of its handles to connect it to another: the arrow stays attached as you move either shape. Select anything to change its colour, stroke, fill, text and layering. Frames group a part of the board, for a slide or a section.
The library
Open the library for Stencils and icons: packs for cloud and architecture, diagramming, user interfaces and wireframes, notes and planning, data and charts, logos, and people. Search, then place a stencil with a click.
Diagrams and pages on a board
- Insert diagram puts an AI diagram, a visual diagram, or a diagram from its source on the canvas. It stays editable.
- Import document, in the canvas actions, brings in a PDF, Word or PowerPoint file: each page becomes an image on the canvas.
- Paste or upload images anywhere.
Design with AI
Open Bots and choose the Design bot to have AI build an AI slide deck, an illustration, a whole whiteboard, or a board from a meeting transcript. It shows what the design will cost and waits for you to approve before it starts. Decks and designs take your organisation's brand kit.

Select part of a board and choose Edit with AI to change just that part, or to change its layout. Orbit can also add to a board or change it when you ask.
Present and export
- Present shows a board slide by slide, with a laser pointer, a pen and shapes to mark it up as you talk.
- Export as image downloads the board as a PNG.
- Slides download as PowerPoint.
- A designed deck downloads as PowerPoint, PDF, PNG images or HTML.
Versions
Version history, in the canvas actions, saves a version of the board when you choose and restores an earlier one.
